My Morning Jacket has just announced an upcoming tour featuring the support of Band of Horses, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and Delta Spirit!
Band of Horses will be supporting My Morning Jacket on December 14th at Madison Square Garden! Tickets go on sale this weekend–tomorrow if you’re on the MMJ mailing list! This is going to be truly EPIC!
I know this is my personal all-time “dream” concert and will definitely be one NOT to miss!
Band of Horses recently unveiled another tune from their upcoming album while playing live. This past Tuesday at the Paramount Theater in Seattle, the guys unleashed this amazing rocker, which is believed to be titled “Knock.” Check out the video of it below. This’ll wake you up in the morning!
I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and that your weekend is off to an amazing start!
Hey everybody! Sometimes life just piles it on–I had to make an unexpected trip out of town, then came home with a dental emergency that has kept me out of the game for the last few days. But I am back now, and man, there is a lot of catching up to do!
I’m going to do my best to get completely up to date in one post, so please forgive me if this one runs long.
At any rate, Band of Horses has been keeping pretty busy as of late, re-launching their tour and kicking it with Conan on TBS.
The tour kicked off in Ogden back on the 4th. Both swaager.com and heyreverb.com fairly agreed that they kicked ass at that venue. In swaager’s review, it was said that:
Denver was the first stop on BOH’s recently announced nationwide tour, and the band’s energy and fans’ excitement made the evening nothing short of magical. Former BOH drummer and Denver crooner, Sara Cahoone, and BOH family members were in attendance and the entire night felt as intimate as a house show with close friends. BOH put on an unforgettable show, and if their performance last Sunday is any indication of how the rest of their tour will go, they certainly don’t need KOL – or anyone else – to headline a tour for them.
You can check out swaager’s review here and heyreverb’s review here.
After that, it was time to roll out to California, where, before playing at the Wiltern, the band played an incredibly beautiful version of “Infinite Arms” on Conan O’Brien’s television show. You can (and should) check out the video for that below:
The band played the Wiltern in L.A. and got a great review from netontommy.com, which you can check out here.
Guys, I am still feeling a little under the weather, so posting might be sporadic for a little while, but I’ll do my best to stay on top of the band’s goings on for you all. In the meantime, I hope your weekend is off to an excellent start, and that you are all happy, healthy, and safe.
Band of Horses just announced that they are going to play Voodoofest in New Orleans this year!
Voodoofest is one hell of an awesome experience, showcasing some of the best talent in the musical world in one of the coolest cities in the world. I was at VF in 2003 and it was freaking incredible!
At any rate, the guys are slated to play on Friday, October 28th, and you can find all of the relevant infos on Voodoofest’s website. If you’re anywhere near NOLA, grab tickets. You won’t be sorry.
We’re all able to listen to the title track from the forthcoming Tyler Ramsey album “The Valley Wind,” which premiered a little earlier today on Sirius and XM.
This tune is well worth your time, so go ahead and give it a listen. This song really, really amped me up for the new album, and I’m sure it will do the same for you.
The title track from Tyler’s new album “The Valley Wind” will premiere on Sirius XMU’s Blog Radio today. Dodge from My Old Kentucky Blog will play it during his set. The show airs from 12-2pm EST on channel 35 on both Sirius and XM.
This is a great chance to tune in and hear what I am sure is going to be amazing music, so if you have XM don’t hesitate to do so.
I already Tweeted about this and put it up on the Ode’s Facebook page, but it’s worth a post on here, too!
Tyler Ramsey now has an official Facebook page, and you can be one of the first people on the interwebs to “like” it (not to mention getting updates on the record release and the subsequent tour). Just click here, then click “like.” Do it!
