Hey everybody. It’s been a hectic couple of days around the odetoboh offices (read: my living room) here in Indiana. The computer I’d been using to gather all the info I could about Band of Horses suddenly went on the fritz yesterday, leaving me and odetoboh kinda up the creek. I managed to grab a new computer before too much time went by, but am kind of still putting the pieces back together as far as getting my hands on Band of Horses news. So if I lag a couple of times over the next few days or weeks, don’t be mad, I’m just working on getting caught up.
That said, it’s been a pretty busy day for the band. They’re playing a show in Detroit right now (which my buddy panjok2 is at–details to follow), and just announced not one but two chances to hear them on the radio over the weekend!
First up, the guys will be on Sirius radio tomorrow at 2 PM EST. This is no run-of-the-mill spot, however. Do you remember when Ben absolutely knocked “Hunger Strike” out of the park? Now’s your chance to re-live it (or experience it for the first time), because Sirius will be broadcasting the full Pearl Jam show from Madison Square Garden back in May. This is definitely not one to be missed! I don’t think anyone has ever done Chris Cornell’s part so well! Click here for more details on that one.
Secondly, the guys will be guest hosting on KPRI’s show “My Turn” on Sunday from 6 PM to 7 PM PST. Basically what that means is that they’re going to play whatever they want for a full hour. I can tell you from experience that the dudes definitely have some serious–and eclectic–tastes in music, so you’ll definitely want to check that out.
Beyond that, I promise I’ll have some more posts this weekend (including an interview with Creighton and a hometown connection). In the meantime, I really hope everyone is having a great Friday evening, and appreciate you bearing with me while I get everything put back together!
The good folks from
(special thanks to kyle over at wfpk for the heads up on this!)
Before I get to this post, I really want to give a special shout-out to
