This was an announcement that really brought back some really good memories:  Band of Horses is going to be appearing this weekend at Newbury Comics in Boston, MA.  Here’s the skinny:  if you purchase “Infinite Arms” at the Newbury Street store location (332 Newbury Street  617-236-4930) only on May 16th, you will receive a wristband that grants you access to the performance and signing.  The whole thing goes down at 5 PM.

I’ve made some great memories at Newbury.  Back in 1999 when I was living in Boston, I literally ran into Billy Corgan (of Smashing Pumpkins fame) there.  We laughed at some of the goofier posters Newbury had, speculated as to why Newbury Comics barely sold any comic books at that time, and proceeded to have a lenthy Superman vs. Batman debate.

Anyway, I digress.  If you live anywhere near Boston, this definitely is a “can’t miss.”  I really wish I could be there, but hope you go if you have the chance.  I know from experience that Newbury is an awesome store and a great venue–the fact that Band of Horses is going to be there makes it even better!
